The Case

The case is the enclosure that holds together all the parts you purchase barring the keyboard, monitor and mouse, these particular items plug in to the outside of the case. The most common know frame type for a case is referred to as ATX this is an acronym for Advanced Technology Extended. This term also applies to the motherboard as you can only fit an ATX motherboard in a ATX case.

There are many models of case, some have more drive bays than others, a lot of the newer cases have multi media options on the front of the case, take the time to look around and pick one that suits your needs, as a personal preference maybe colour and case design catch your eye, the choices are endless.
