Floppy Drive |
|
The floppy drive is becoming obsolete as its been superceded by other types
of media such as CD, DVD and USB data drives, however you can still purchase
these drives for backwards compatibility for example you may have all your
files on floppy disks. On the rear side of a IDE drive you will find a connector with 34 pins, Finally you have a small 4 pin power plub, this is plugged into the cases power leads/plugs. Please note that the red stripe the drive cable should match with pin 1 on the motherboard connector and pin 1 on the back of the drive.
